Theater Event:
"The
Smell of the Kill"
WCAA in conjunction with the Lakeside
Players presented the play “The Smell of the Kill”
by Michele Lowe at the Grace Episcopal Theater, Honesdale on the
following dates: Nov 14, 16, 21, 22, and 23 2003. Described by
critic J. Soap as “a deliciously wicked little comedy, a
marvelously witty kitchen cocktail whose ingredients include humor,
denial, anger, revenge, and ultimately triumph over adversity,
all whisked together with liberal doses of cutting dialogue and
SERVED ON ICE with a twist of fate.” The Lakeside Players
performance of “The Smell of the Kill” was well received
by Wayne County audiences and WCAA hopes to continue support of
live theater in the future. |

Group Show:
The first WCAA Members Group Show was held at The Central Park
Gallery in Honesdale from Oct 10 to Oct 26, 2003. Twenty-four member artists
showed a variety of work including painting, sculpture, prints, photography,
and ceramics. Local High School and Middle School students and Boy Scouts
enjoyed informative, fun gallery talks by several of the exhibiting artists.
The event was very successful introducing the community and area youth
